กิจกรรมเดิน-วิ่งการกุศล ฅนเหล็กมินิมาราธอน เกิดขึ้นครั้งแรกในปี 2551 โดยมีบริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ SSI เป็นผู้ริเริ่ม ภายใต้ชื่อกิจกรรม SSI Mini Marathon 2008: Strength to Live เมื่อวันที่ 6 กันยายน พ.ศ. 2551 ณ สวนลุมพินี ในรูปแบบกิจกรรมจิตอาสาของพนักงานกิจกรรมดังกล่าวได้รับความร่วมมือจากพนักงาน ผู้บริหาร ลูกค้า สถาบันการเงิน และประชาชนทั่วไปเป็นอย่างดี และต่อมาได้เปลี่ยนชื่อเป็นกิจกรรมเดิน-วิ่งการกุศล ฅนเหล็กมินิมาราธอนในปี พ.ศ. 2552 จนถึงปัจจุบัน
ในปีนี้บริษัท สหวิริยาสตีลอินดัสตรี จำกัด (มหาชน) (SSI) ได้ร่วมกับผู้ประกอบอุตสาหกรรมเหล็กชั้นนำของเมืองไทย ประกอบด้วยบริษัท เหล็กแผ่นรีดเย็นไทย จำกัด (มหาชน) (TCRSS) บริษัท เอ็นเอส บลูสโคป (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด (NS Blue Scope) บริษัท เอ็นเอส-สยามยูในเต็ดสตีล จำกัด (NS-SUS) บริษัท เจเอฟอี สตีล กัลวาในซิ่ง (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด (JSGT) และ บริษัท โพสโค โค้ทเต้ด สตีล (ประเทศไทย) จํากัด (POSCO-TCS) จัดขึ้นในวันอาทิตย์ที่ 11 ตุลาคม 2569 ณ สวนวชิรเบญจทัศ (สวนรถไฟ) กรุงเทพมหานคร
The “Kon Lhek Mini Marathon” charity walk-run was first organized in 2008 by Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited (SSI). Originally held on September 6, 2008, at Lumpini Park in Bangkok under the name “SSI Mini Marathon 2008: Strength to Live,” the event was initiated as a volunteer activity for SSI employees. It received strong support and participation from employees, executives, customers, financial institutions, and the general public. In 2009, the event was renamed the “Kon Lhek Mini Marathon” charity walk-run and has been held continuously ever since.
This year, Sahaviriya Steel Industries Public Company Limited (SSI), in collaboration with leading steel industry companies in Thailand, namely Thai Cold Rolled Steel Sheet Public Company Limited (TCRSS), NS BlueScope (Thailand) Limited (NS BlueScope), NS-Siam United Steel Co., Ltd. (NS-SUS), JFE Steel Galvanizing (Thailand) Ltd. (JSGT), and POSCO-Coated Steel (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (POSCO-TCS), will jointly organize the event on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Vajirabenjatas Park (Suan Rot Fai), Bangkok.
